A Walk in Wales

A Walk in Wales

Painted from a moody winter hike through the Brecon Beacons, this piece captures the hills as they were that day: soft light breaking through heavy cloud, a dry stone wall tracing the path forward, and layers of green and rust-brown rolling out toward the mist. It was a landscape that stopped me in my tracks, and this painting is my attempt to hold onto that feeling.

Built up with heavily textured brushwork in soft, earthy tones, A Walk in Wales sits between memory and place, less a literal record of the hike, more the atmosphere of standing there.
